HSFG Nuts
HSFG nuts are high-strength structural nuts supplied as part of specified bolting assemblies. BCUBE can source and manufacture applicable nuts for project-specific structural requirements.
Assembly-Based Selection
HSFG nuts are not selected independently from the bolt assembly. The bolt grade/type/style, nut grade, washer and installation requirements must be matched to the governing structural-joint specification.
ASTM F3125 Relationship
ASTM F3125/F3125M structural bolt assemblies specify compatible nut and washer requirements for covered structural bolt types. The exact nut grade must follow the specified assembly.
ASTM A563/A563M
A563/A563M is an important carbon and alloy steel nut specification for structural and mechanical applications; ASTM currently lists A563/A563M-26 as active.
Dimensions & Threads
Nominal diameter, thread series, pitch, nut height and width across flats are selected according to the specified assembly and dimensional requirements.
Inspection
Material certificates, dimensional inspection and third-party inspection can be arranged according to the project requirement.
ASTM A194/A194M — High-Pressure / High-Temperature Nuts
Where the nut is specified for high-pressure or high-temperature service, ASTM A194/A194M is a key material specification covering carbon steel, alloy steel and martensitic/austenitic stainless steel nuts. ASTM currently lists A194/A194M-26 as active. Exact grade/class, size and service requirements must be matched to the governing specification; ASTM states that grade substitutions require purchaser permission.
