Pipe Fittings

Tees

Butt-weld and other industrial pipe tees used for branch connections. The page will distinguish equal and reducing configurations.

Technical Parameters

  • Equal or reducing tee
  • Run size and branch size
  • NPS/NB and wall thickness/schedule
  • Butt-weld end preparation
  • Material and grade
  • Applicable product and material standards
  • Dimensions, tolerances, marking and testing

Materials & Grades

BCUBE can evaluate Mild Steel, Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel and Stainless Steel requirements in grades applicable to the selected fitting specification and service.

Standards & Editions

ASME B16.9 covers factory-made wrought buttwelding fittings and includes dimensions, tolerances, ratings, testing and marking; ASME B16.11 covers forged socket-welding and threaded fittings. The applicable standard must be selected from the actual fitting type and end connection.

The technical database will distinguish current, previous and project-specified editions. A client's approved drawing, purchase specification and project standard remain the controlling requirements.

Manufacturing & Sourcing

BCUBE supports both manufacturing and sourcing. Requirements can be evaluated from size, schedule/wall thickness, material, grade, end connection, drawing, standard and quantity.

Testing, Certification & Inspection

Applicable dimensional, visual, material and pressure-related testing will be described according to the governing product specification. EN 10204:3.1 material certificates and third-party inspection can be supported where required.

Applications

Industrial piping, oil & gas, EPC projects, chemical and petrochemical plants, power plants, water treatment, fabrication, infrastructure and industrial equipment applications, subject to the suitability of the selected product specification.
