Applicable Specification

ASTM A489-25 is listed by ASTM as a current specification for Carbon Steel Eyebolts. The exact eyebolt design and intended service must be matched to the governing specification and application.

Materials & Grades

Carbon steel requirements may be supplied against the applicable eyebolt specification. Other materials or grades can be evaluated where a suitable product specification and design requirement exists.

Design & Dimensions

Eye inside diameter, shank diameter, thread, overall length and eye geometry are critical procurement details. For lifting applications, the approved design and rated capacity must control selection; an ordinary fastening eyebolt should not be assumed to be a lifting device.
