HSFG Bolts
HSFG (High Strength Friction Grip) Bolts are high-strength structural fasteners used in friction-grip structural connections. BCUBE can manufacture, source and supply HSFG bolting assemblies according to project requirements.
Applicable Structural Specification
ASTM F3125/F3125M is a key ASTM specification for high-strength structural bolts and assemblies. ASTM states that it consolidated A325/A325M, A490/A490M, F1852 and F2280 and is intended for structural connections covered by the applicable structural-joint specification.
Grades, Types & Styles
F3125 uses grade, type and style designations. Heavy Hex and Twist-Off styles are covered. The exact grade/type/style, nut, washer and assembly requirements must be taken from the project specification.
HSFG / Friction-Grip Requirement
HSFG procurement is an assembly and joint-performance requirement, not simply a bolt material designation. Installation, pretension and inspection requirements should be controlled by the governing structural-joint specification and project method statement.
Sizes
ASTM F3125 identifies inch and metric structural-bolt size ranges for the covered grades/styles. Exact size, length, thread configuration and assembly components should be confirmed from the project specification.
Quality & Inspection
BCUBE can support material certificates, dimensional checks and third-party inspection where required. Project-specific inspection and installation requirements should be agreed before supply.
Historical Standards
Older project documents may still reference legacy designations such as ASTM A325/A490. The website will retain historical terminology and map it to the applicable current specification without assuming that every old project can automatically be converted to a newer requirement.
